Each group is so different in temperament, ages and the number of children present.  The character  and his attendant will go-with-the flow to best suit each group.  We will bring music for dancing and perhaps sing a few familiar songs and dance to the chicken song; we will bring a ball and perhaps some musical toys to try to make tons of noise (ideally outside!); we will have time for individual and/or group pictures.  Sometimes the children merely want Elmo to watch them jump on their trampoline, push them on their swing sets or play with their toys with them.  We welcome your ideas and will happily accommodate your requests.

For birthday parties, we like to offer a balloon bouquet to the birthday child and make them feel extra special.

The visits can last up to 40 minutes. After that, our character might start to overheat and get a bit dizzy!  For $100 a visit, two people (the attendant and the character) will come to your home (within most of Chittenden County), present a  balloon bouquet to the birthday child to make them feel extra special, play and interact for approximately 30 to 40 minutes, have pictures taken and help create a special memory.

Games & Activities

We have some suggestions that might fit well into this theme.... Some can be done at home and we can prepare any of these to be played at Party Adventures.

The key is keep them all busy in "everyone wins" games & activities.  Our suggestions for this theme would be:

Shrinking Prize

We present to you 10 or 12 gift wrapped boxes, which originally appears as one present -- after unwrapping the outer one, the child find another wrapped present inside.  Similar to musical chairs, only with no one eliminated, the music is played & stopped.

When the music stops, the child holding the box unwraps it and takes out the next box, restarting the game by passing it along  until all boxes have been unwrapped.  The last box contains a  prize for everyone. If it accidentally come to a child who has already unwrapped a layer, they choose who they will give it to who hasn't unwrapped yet.  For parties here at Party Adventures, if a child chooses a prize, like a kazoo, that is too large for the smallest box, they will get a clue that will tell them say "purple ants" as the secret word to either Elmo or the Host, who will then bring out the basket of prizes.

Nice "cool down" game because  all the children usually sitting in a circle.

Sesame Street Picture Bingo

We keep playing until everyone has won at least once.  We provide the cards & markers; but most importantly, a basket of at least  25 small trinkets prizes for children to  choose from when they win.  When a child wins, they clear their game card and go to the Birthday Child's parent to pick out a prize from the basket and the just jumps back in and resumes the game.  Fun & Easy!

Pictures Frames

While the special guest is at your party, take a Polaroid picture with each child.  After he has left, you can create picture frames with popsicle sticks decorating them with  pom-poms, stickers, beads, glitter glue, marker stamps and crayons. We even  provide  magnets so they can be put on the refrigerator!  We provide all the art supplies,  film for the camera and assistance in creating the frames.

 

Hunting for Sesame Street Friends

 
Hunt for hidden little Sesame Street figures, then turn them in for your prize from the prize basket.  One figure is hidden for each child.  If you choose the construction room, we can bury them in the sandbox .....  or tape one to the back of a chair ... on a widow sill ... on the back of Mom or Dad ... we can certainly have some fun with this one!

Elmo's Cards

Picture Cards featuring Elmo are handed out to the children.  Elmo has an identical deck.  When Elmo pulls out a card, say #5 with Elmo fishing, the child with that same card bring it to Elmo and get a hug and a prize from Elmo's basket.  When all the children has received a gift from Elmo's basket, they can all open them together.  Nice opportunity for each child to have a moment with Elmo made extra special.

 

Coloring Big Fun Pictures

 
If your child likes to color, we have many fun large pictures of Elmo & his friends to color.  Color these before Elmo arrives for his appearance or visit, and he can give each & every wonderful piece of artwork an Elmo sticker!  If you take a picture with Elmo, you can hold up your artwork too.  Now that would be pretty!
